Are you experiencing boredom now that you have reached the endgame or are grinding it out with your Main Character in Diablo 4? Are you curious about experimenting with different classes and builds? You certainly are a lucky person! In this guide to leveling alt characters, we will explain how to level alt characters to the second, third, fourth, and fifth levels as well as levels beyond those.
On your main character, these strategies involve gaining Renown, obtaining the Codex of Power, storing items, and conserving Gold and other Materials.
On your secondary character, these strategies focus on accelerating item and level progression. Make it a priority to wrap up the Campaign on your Main character if at all possible; doing so will cut your overall time commitment in half! Maintain its verve. Discover all the different ways you can construct things in Sanctuary!
Getting your Main Character to the end of the Campaign is the single most effective thing you can do to speed up the leveling of any New Characters (Alts). Once you have finished the Campaign in its entirety, you will be able to bypass the Campaign on any and all subsequent characters you create. Even characters created in a different gameplay mode are included in this.(Heavy Metal and Melodic Rock)
Since the Campaign does not contain a particularly high number of monsters, it is a much slower process to level up through the Campaign when compared to leveling through Dungeons or Events.
There are also cutscenes that cannot be skipped, which wastes even more of your time. You will also be able to focus on Renown, which is the next most effective way to speed up the leveling process of your alt characters because the Campaign will already have been completed.
Your Main Character's ability to earn Renown Rewards up to Tier 3 or even Tier 5 in each of the game's five regions has a significant impact on the strength of Alt Characters, making it much simpler to advance the characters through the game's levels. If you just want to make a new character and you haven't bothered to finish these Renown objectives on your Main character, you should at least finish the Campaign on your Main character so that you can prioritize achieving Tier 3 Renown Rewards in each region on your Alt character.
Note that your Renown Progress in the Softcore and Hardcore game modes are kept separate; if you wish to make an Alt in a different game mode, you will be required to begin all of your Renown Objectives from scratch.
It is not a joke that gaining renown grants you an immediate increase of +5 Potion Capacity, +10 Skills, and +20 Paragon Points.
If at all possible, you should strive to earn at least Tier 3 Renown Rewards in each region with your Main character in order to receive an additional +5 Potion Capacity and +10 Skills for any future characters you create. Tier 5 Renown Rewards are only available in World Tier III on the Nightmare difficulty level. Once your alts reach level 50, you will receive a total of +20 Paragon Points for each of your alts.
It is important to acquire Renown from the following activities in the following order:
Waypoints for Exploration of the Altars of Lilith (Placing Priority on Region Hub Waypoints)
Dungeons (Codex of Power Aspects Should Take Priority for Alternative Classes)
Additional Quests(Hint: BEFORE you enter any dungeons, complete as many of the optional quests (!) that are located near the waypoints as you possibly can. This is done so that you can maximize your potential for gaining renown from dungeons and side quests simultaneously within a given region.)
Altars dedicated to Lilith
As you progress through the Renown Objectives in each region, you will be able to collect all of the Altars of Lilith. Your newly created characters will receive increases to their base stats as a result of using these. There are a total of 68 Paragon Points and 4 Paragon Points up for grabs, both of which grant significant power boosts beginning at Level 1.
Target farm from the Codex of Power
You can unlock Codex of Power Legendary Aspects for your Alt Character Build by completing the necessary Dungeons. It is the most dependable method for giving your alt's equipment a boost in power. This should ideally be done on your Main character while you are completing Renown Objectives to speed up the process of leveling your Alt characters, but it can also be done on your Alt character while you are leveling up in Dungeons. As you progress with your new character, you will have the opportunity to imprint additional Rares with Legendary Aspects.
Putting Things Away
Putting things away requires a little bit of forethought. You can save items for your planned alts as you progress through the game if you already have an idea of the new builds you want to make once you reach the endgame on your main character. Bear in mind that the level requirement of an item or Legendary Aspect is based on the character level of the character that drops the item. This applies even if the item itself does not require a specific level. This indicates that you will be able to store a batch of Rare Gear that you find on your Main Character that has optimal stats for your planned Alt Character approximately every 5-10 levels. Additionally, as of Season 1, the level cap for Sacred items is now set at 60, while the level cap for Ancestral items is set at 80. This allows players to store away some particularly juicy items for later use. With the assistance of dependable upgrades, you can make the progression of your Alt more enjoyable.
Monsters Lying in Wait
When you defeat Hidden Rare Elites at different character levels, you'll be rewarded with guaranteed special Rare items. Take for instance the case where you wish to create a Bow Rogue once you have finished bringing your Necromancer to the endgame. You can farm Renn Dayne in Hawezar at Levels 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 for Haunted Crossbows with progressively higher Item Power. This grants your Rogue access to reliable weapon upgrades, significantly increasing their power every ten levels as they level up. You can either farm these Rare Elites on your Alt character or on your Main character in advance of creating an Alt character.
Power Grading or Leveling
You will be able to take advantage of a couple of different strategies for quickly leveling up your character if you have already finished the Campaign, obtained the Tier 5 Renown Rewards for each region, and obtained all of the relevant Codex of Power Aspects for your alt on your main character. You will only receive experience bonuses from killing monsters that are up to ten levels higher than you as of Season 1. You won't receive any additional benefits from your experience gain after this point.
You can quickly level up an alt by repeating the same Strongholds, particularly the Kor Dragon one. It is imperative that you DO NOT KILL THE BOSS in order to maintain your ability to reload the Stronghold. If you want to complete this mission on your own, you will need to level up to between 25 and 30 in the Broken Isles first.
Certain Dungeons, such as Sirocco Caverns (Level 20) and Uldur's Cave (Level 45), offer the best possible combination of loot and leveling experience for your alt character. You will be able to find and use loot of higher Item Power Tiers than would normally be possible at your character level if you farm these dungeons about 5 character levels lower than the minimum levels of the monsters. This will allow you to hyper-accelerate your progression while also gaining experience quickly. Due to the fact that the monsters have higher levels than you do, you should anticipate a certain amount of resistance from them.
