On the Public Test Realm (PTR), testing for Patch 2

On the Public Test Realm (PTR), testing for Patch 2.6 for Diablo 2: Resurrected has concluded, and the community manager reports that new features are ready to be included in the update. The weeklong event that was hosted in the public testing realm for Diablo 2: Resurrected came to an end on January 31, at 10 AM Pacific Standard Time.

The majority of its attention was concentrated on the introduction of the upcoming five new Runewords, in addition to the previously undisclosed addition of three more Runewords. The alternatives Mosaic, Metamorphosis, and Hustle were some of these unexpected choices.

By adding these eight new Runewords that can be used in the Ladder and Offline Single-Player modes, the developers are attempting to add more variety to the competitive metagame. This can be done in the Offline Single-Player mode. When players work toward the goal of reaching level 99, the intention is to give them better opportunities to progress through the levels.

Adjustments were made to the Resurrected Runeword in order to get it ready for the Diablo 2 patch version 2.6. The community manager for Blizzard recently made a post on the Blizzard forums in which she stated that some very major changes will be coming to these new Runewords based off of community input received from the Public Test Realm (PTR).

As stated in the news section of Blizzard's website for Diablo 2, the new Runewords are only a small part of the content that will be added with Patch 2.6.  As such, players should stay tuned for more information regarding the content that will be added when Patch 2.6 is released officially. The fact that new paths can be explored within the MMORPG will make this piece of information very interesting to players who are interested in doing so.

The community manager also informed players in the same post the dates on which Season 2 will come to an end and when Season 3 will begin. These dates were included in the same post. The community manager shared the following message on the official website: "Likewise, we expect this patch to roll into season fairly quickly so wanted to give you all a heads up that we plan on the S3 start to occur on February 16 with S2 ending the same day."

Despite the excitement, the patch notes won't be made available until the update goes live on February 16, and that won't happen until after that. Players of Diablo 2: Resurrected will have to wait until then in order to view the entire list of changes, as a result of this.
